The Man from Snowy River Hotel has been the skiers choice for warm and friendly atmosphere, great location and excellent facilities for couples and families since 1960.  With undercover guest parking (the only undercover parking in Perisher), two bars, open fires, ski room and drying room, steam room and gym plus resident masseuse The Man is a resort style complex just 200 metres from the Village Eight Express chairlift. 

You room choice is Studio rooms for families, Courtyard rooms offer great value for the keen skier and Mountain View rooms for couples.  We also invite single skiers to stay without paying a hefty surcharge.

The dining room, Clancy's, is famous for its great set menu dinners and hot buffet breakfasts (dinner and breakfast are included in the rates). You have the choice of two bars - the popular public bar, "The Overflow", has pool tables, regular entertainment, big screen TV's and great views of the resort. The more intimate guest bar, "Banjo's" serves up wonderful cocktails and wines that you can enjoy around the open fire.  Night skiing is on the lights of Front Valley look amazing from the public bar.

After a great day skiing parents don't need to worry about their kids as they enjoy their cocktail thanks to the special kids meal area and Kids Club that looks after the children as the parents enjoy their meal.

Room Types

Mountain View
Signature Room with north facing Front Valley views. With king size bed or 2 single beds, TV, fridge, private bathroom and comfortably furnished.

Studio Rooms
Perfect for families - each studio room has a microwave and fridge, crockery & cutlery, private bathroom, tv and heating. The bedding is a king bed and double bunk for a family of 4. A Studio Family room has king bed, single bed and double bunk for a family of 5.

Studio Suites
Two interconnecting studio rooms. Main bedroom has king bed, bathroom, TV, kitchenette & dining table. 2nd bedroom with TV and private bathroom has either 2 single beds for families of 4 or 2 singles  & bunk bed for families of 5 or 6.

Courtyard Rooms
Courtyard rooms have private bathroom, fridge, TV and tea & coffee making facilities. With a queen pull down and two singles they are a great room for 3 adults to share. A Courtyard king room, just for two, has king bed, private bathroom, TV, fridge and tea & coffee making facilities.

Infants 0-4 years of age are free of charge in low season, no cot fee or dinner supplement when sharing with one adult in the same room. Infants 0-4 are $50 per night during shoulder and peak season.
Children 5 - 14 years when sharing with one adult in the same room.
Kids Club available throughout the season and is included in the tariffs.

Travelling By Car
Car must be left at the Bullock Flat parking area and the ski tube taken to Perisher followed by oversnow transport

* From Sydney: Take the Hume Highway south-west to Goulburn, then the Federal highway south to Canberra or Queanbeyan.

* From Canberra/Queanbeyan: Take the Monaro Highway south to Cooma, then the Snowy Mountains Highway south-west to Jindabyne.

* From Jindabyne to Bullocks Flat: Take the Thredbo Road (Alpine Way) to the skitube
* From Jindabyne to Hotel: Take the Perisher Road (kosciuszko rd) to Perisher

The nearest commercial airports to Perisher Valley are at Cooma and Canberra.

The Snow Express Shuttle bus meets all flights to and from Snowy Mountains Airport at Cooma. Bookings are essential

Kids Club
With Ski School taking care of the children during the daylight hours, our child minders will look after them each evening. Our Kid's Dinner runs from 6 - 9 pm in a special Mezzanine dining room. The children have a meal, then are supervised for craft or drawing, perhaps watching a video or playing games, while Mum and Dad can enjoy a romantic dinner, a glass of wine and conversation.
Kid's dinner is for 0 to 10 year olds, and is included in the tariff. We also have a teenage lounge, with pool table, table tennis and video games for those too grown up for Kid's club.

Car Park

Undercover car parking available - bookings essential, fees applicable $25 per vehicle per night. Otherwise overnight parking at Bullocks Flat.
