Welcome to the Sponars Chalet. Situated at 1500 metres altitude in the Kosciuszko National Park, 7 kilometres from Perisher Blue, Sponars is an owner operated Chalet. It is an historic, well known landmark, a traditional ski lodge offering a unique snow holiday. Sponars sits on the site of the original Kosciuszko Hotel whose Grand Slam Ski run was the first commercial ski slope in the Snowy Mountains area, just 24 kilometres from Jindabyne 

Sponars offers the best value hotel accommodation in the snow. We accommodate 100 guests in comfort with all  rooms having en-suite facilities. Unlike most lodges in the snow Sponars has a FREE CARPARK for guests right at the front door. Catch our courtesy bus to Smiggin Holes and Perisher Ski Resort during shoulder and peak seasons. Facilities are excellent, with an indoor heated pool and steam room and ski hire at the lodge, there is everything you need for the perfect ski holiday.

$170 per night per room 2 guests, 3 or more per room $65 per head and $380 per night for a suite. 2 night minimum stay applies

Directions

From Jindabyne stay on Kosciuszko Road towards Perisher Blue and you will find us 24km up on your right hand side, just past the Guthega turn off.

Enjoy the convenience of having your car at the door. No ski tube or costly oversnow transport.

We have a courtesy bus which will be running daily to take you up to the mountain, until the 2nd of September. It runs three times in the morning from around 8am to 9.30am, depending on the number of people and snow conditions. It also comes back from Perisher in the afternoon three times from 4pm to around 5.30pm.

We don't operate the courtesy bus during 'No Frills' - but, at such a reasonable nightly room rate, you won't mind the 7 km drive to the resort!
