Snowy Gums Chalet is a grand ski lodge in the Perisher Ski Resort where you can drive to the front door and unload, and then it's only a two minute walk to the chairlift and T-bars. Come and go as you please without waiting for oversnow transport.

Snowy Gums Chalet offers quick and easy access to all of the Perisher Ski Resort, so you can ski or board from Smiggins to Perisher to Blue Cow and Guthega. Then, after an exhilarating day of fun on the slopes, enjoy a soothing sauna and spa or relax with friends around a roaring log fire whilst taking in the sights and having a drink at "Cascades" cocktail bar. Under new management our friendly and welcoming staff will prepare scrumptious dinners that our chef will be creating.

The rooms are all chalet style either 2, 3, 4, 5 or 8 share rooms each room has the appropriate bedding, with clock radio and a bedside tables/lamps, there is an ensuite in each room with shower and toilet. There is no tea/Coffee making facilities in the rooms or hair dryers. There is a Tea/Coffee station all day and until the bar closes at night in the lounge area. Hair Dryers, Iron, ironing boards are available to borrow from reception, these we ask to be returned when guests are finished as we do not have enough for each room (some guests bring their own hair dryers, this is fine).

Meals are served in Waterfalls Restaurant. Breakfast is a Buffet breakfast hot and cold. Dinner is a rotating set menu with entree, main and desert. The main is served as an alternate drop. There is a child's menu daily. Any special requirements or diets that need to be specially catered for may incur an additional charge.

Snowy Gums features a sauna & large spa pool, open log fireplace with guest lounge, TV/reading room, pool table, guest laundry, ski & drying room. After a fun day on the slopes, take a leisurely stroll back to Snowy Gums, relax with friends with a Cocktail, refreshing Ale or Warming Cognac in front of a roaring log fire at "Cascades" cocktail bar, then enjoy a chef inspired 3 course dinner in our licensed restaurant, "Waterfalls".

Cascades Bar opens for Coffee Menu at breakfast if your guests require more than an instant coffee in the morning. Cascades offers an extensive Beverage Menu from 6.30pm with a bar snacks menu, shooters menu, wine list, and coffee menu.

The TV/Games room has TV, DVD and AUSTAR, there is also a Wii for children between certain hours till 7.30 pm. There are board games and DVD's available at reception, Children can bring their own DVD's but they should be marked.

Directions

Snowy Gums is located in Smiggin Holes Alpine Village, approximately 30kms from Jindabyne on the Kosciuszko Road or a 30 minute drive in good weather.

We are an easy 5.5 to 6 hour drive from Sydney or 7 hours from Melbourne, the majority of the drive is on freeway standard or dual carriage roads. Snow chains must legally be carried by all vehicles entering the National Park in "snow-ice" risk sections, between June 1 and October 10. Entry permits for the National Park are obtained at the Park Entry Gates for a fee of $27 per vehicle per day or an annual pass of $190.

Car Park

On Site Parking - $30 per night - limited to 7 on-site bays.
Sponars parking - $15 per night - limited to 13 bays.

Overnight parking is not permitted in the Perisher Ski Resort, however at Snowy Gums we can offer our guests limited overnight parking right outside our Chalet, or at the overnight car park with transport back to Snowy Gums in our courtesy shuttle bus. In addition, vehicular access to Snowy Gums for drop off or pick up of guests and luggage is via Willow Road (last road on the right after the car park) and is limited to 5 minutes standing time. When Willow Road is covered with snow & ice, all cars must use snow chains (4WD exempt).
