Resort Overview

Snow Park is a dedicated terrain park and is big than any other terrain park in New Zealand.  It is loaded with jumps, halfpipe, boxes and rails to keep every freestyle skiing or snowboarder happy.  Snow Park has been open since 2002 it expanded in 2008 to include accommodation and a new intermediates area that has great terrain to progress from novice to advanced rider.  This terrain park is the ultimate freestyle park for skiers and snowboarders and it's worth the visit.

Snow Park is located in Cardrona Valley tucked away in the beautiful Southern Alps of New Zealand.

How to get there

To New Zealand - The best international airport to arrive at in New Zealand is Christchurch.  From Christchurch either hire a car and drive or take a daily domestic flight to either Queenstown or Wanaka.  There are weekly flights to Queenstown from Australia (Sydney, Brisbane or Melbourne) during the winter season.

To the mountain - Snow Park NZ has on snow accommodation or 3 standards otherwise stay in Wanaka (35km) or Queeenstown (55km).  There are shuttles that run from both Wanaka & Queenstown daily otherwise there is plenty of parking if you decide to drive, but don't forgot to hire chains.

Terrain park facts

Snow Park NZ is not just for advanced riders.  The special Half Pint Park which is approximate 30% of the terrain is for novice riders, and with progressive terrain including over 40 rails/boxes and jumps ranging from 35ft to 65ft throughout the park you riding skills will greatly improve.  The infamous triple jump line, burton booter and 160m long halfpipe will keep advanced riders happy.

Après Ski

Located on the mountain, there is New Zealand's first on mountain village. This Snow Park Village includes luxury apartments, backpacker bunkrooms and the Woolshed Restaurant and bar. The Woolshed Restaurant does breakfast, lunch and dinner daily with room service available to the apartments. For more nightlife and alternative activities and accommodation, take a short drive to Wanaka or Queenstown.
