Mt. Baw Baw's integrated network of six lifts, services over 30 hectares of skiing terrain and provides some spectacular scenery. The inviting environment is enhanced by the large number of club lodges accommodation units spread through the gum trees, resulting in a friendly family feel to the whole resort. It is the closest ski resort to Melbourne.

How to get there

Via car it is an easy drive east from Melbourne which will take approximately 2.5 hrs.  Chains must be carried and the last place to hire is Icy Creek.   Once in resort luggage transfers can be arrange at guest services.
V Line provides a morning coach services from Melbourne on Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday and must be booked 24hrs in advance.

On Trail Facts

Mt Baw Baw is perfect for beginners that have never skied or snowboarded and new intermediates.  Almost all of the trails are groomed providing smooth terrain to practice and progress. 
There are a few pockets of advanced terrain but they are generally best just after good snow falls.

Après Ski

Mt Baw Baw has limited Après ski but after the pub crawl you are likely to get to know plenty of people because of the great village atmosphere.  A  Sunset drink at Village Central, on to Kelly's Bar after dinner and rock the night in the Alpine Hotel "The Pub" which generally has live music on a Saturday night.
