The Snowy Mountains has 4 resorts. Thredbo, Selwyn, Charlottes Pass and Perisher that consists of Perisher, Smiggins Hole, Blue Cow and Guthega. The two major resorts are Thredbo and Perisher. Thredbo has the longest trail but not as many trails as Perisher. Perisher is the biggest resort is Australia and has the most trails but they are much shorter than Thredbo. Both resort have trails for all standards, including terrain parks. Selwyn is great for families and first timer skiers or snowboarders. Charlottes Pass is the only snowbound resort in Australia making it pictureque. The terrain is mainly for beginners and interemediates.
Perisher is the largest resort in NSW and Australia . With 1245 ha of terrain it has wide range of slops and trails for all abilities. It best services begginners and intermediate riders for both skiing and snowboarders. You will never have to ride the same run each day! For the advance riders there is some great open and treed areas to ride and test your off piste ability. Thredbo is a little piece of Europe in Australia. A classic mountain village nested in the bottom of a steep valley. Thredbo boasts the longest run in Australia which is 3.5km's top to bottom and generally caters for beginner and intermediate riders.
