Mt Hotham Snow Report - 15th July

Mt Hotham Snow Report - 15th July

By Kym & Azz - 15 July 2009

Snowflakes are falling this week after a week of amazing weather. We have had bluebird days, rain, wind, fog and now snow at Hotham this week. The slopes have been chock-a-block of happy school kids during the exceptionally busy July school holidays, and with a new influx of visitors from NSW, WA and SA, fresh flakes are just what we ordered.

Over the weekend, the first of Hotham's 'A La Carte in the Park' Series of Rail Jams, Big Air and Slope-style events (with perhaps a few surprises) took place in the Swindler's Terrain Park.

Interschool's racing on the Roadrunner racecourse was held in very difficult conditions, but saw some great times posted by some of Victoria's top schoolkids. Bright P-12 College came out trumps as top school of the day.

With more snow forecast this week, followed by a bluebird weekend, it's a great time to visit Mt Hotham.

This week's Christmas in July activities saw Dinner Plain Village's annual "Snow-man" competition.
The Snow-peeps, were Awesome, with some outstanding sculptures on display.
