Lachen apartments are 3 bedroom 10 share. Located in the Davenport Village area of Hotham just 1.7 km from the Hotham village centre and are set just off the cross country skiing track. These apartments are only a 300 meter walk or two village bus stops from the Big D Children's Snowsports Centre and Daycare Centre.
The General Store which includes a pub, bistro, post office outlet and supermarket is just 150 meters from your door while just across the track you will find the Jack Frost complex which contains a restaurant, bar, ticket outlet, retail store and licensed supermarket.
The view from the Lachen apartments offers some of the most spectacular scenery in the southern Victorian Alps. There is access to the main ski area for intermediate to advanced skiers via Frosty Drop directly across the road (snow/weather permitting). Access to the main lift is via the free village shuttle bus which stops directly outside of Jack Frost and will take you to the village centre.

By Car
From Melbourne
Route 1. Take the Hume Hwy to Wangaratta then the Great Alpine Road direct to Hotham, or the Snow Road via Milawa & Oxley to Myrtleford & Hotham. Travel time around 4.5 hours.
Route 2. Take the Monash Freeway (which turns into the Princes Hwy) to Bairnsdale, then the Great Alpine Road direct to Mount Hotham. Travel time around 5 hours.
From Sydney
Route 1. Take the Hume Hwy to Albury-Wodonga and follow the snow signs to Yackandandah then turn off to Myrtleford. At Myrtleford turn onto the Great Alpine Road to Bright then Harrietville and Hotham. Travel time around 8 hours.
By Air
You can now book QantasLink direct flights from Sydney to Hotham for Winter 2011. The trip will take approximately 80 minutes and guests will arrive in 36 seat Dash 8-200 series planes. The luggage limit is 23kg
Coach transfers are available from the airport to Dinner Plain and Hotham Villages. You can purchase a one way ($35 adult, $19 child) or return ($52 adult, $35 child) ticket before you depart. Private transfers also on offer.
By Coach
If you're in need of a lift to the mountain there are a number of coach services that can help you out. These services offer a comfortable and convenient way to hit the slopes.
Alternatively if you're looking for a way to get around the mountain or to get a lift from Albury Airport or a local town such as Bright, Harrietville or Omeo, Hotham also has access to a few taxi services which make your trip easy.
Children welcome
For overnight visitors, car parking is available below Bus Stop 8 towards the Wire Plain cross country area, depending on demand. Look for the large red sign indicating the start of overnight parking. Getting back to the village is easy with the free village transport service that will collect you from within the overnight car parking zone. If in doubt with where to park, please check with the Resort Management Office or ask a parking attendant.
On Friday night parking attendants are on duty until 3am to assist and direct arrivals to overnight car parking areas.
