Description

Bogong Alpine Village is situated half way between Mt Beauty and Falls Creek. Nestled into the mountain side and overlooking picturesque Lake Guy, Bogong is only 20 minutes drive from the ski slopes.

It contains 26 fully self contained 2, 3 and 4 bedroom cottages offers spacious, bright, warm and friendly accommodation at an affordable price. As a standard all cottages come with bedding, linen and towels provided and are equipped with a full kitchen, laundry/drying room, TV, DVD, heating in all rooms and electric blankets on all beds. Some cottages come with extra features such as wood heater and spa. Every cottage has parking at the front door making access easy and convenient.

Bogong Village is an excellent alternative to on mountain accommodation.

By Road
Falls Creek is the closest alpine resort to Brisbane, an easy day's drive from Sydney & four and a half hours drive from Melbourne. There are lots of options to get to Falls from driving all or part of the way to letting someone else take care of that for you. Carrying snow chains is compulsory during the snow season and can be hired at several outlets in Mt. Beauty.

No petrol is available at Falls Creek so make sure you fill up before you come up. In winter, diesel vehicles should fill up with Alpine Diesel from Mt Beauty or other local suppliers to ensure their vehicle works correctly in the cold conditions.

Drivers should also check at the local service stations their anti-freeze levels. This can be done with a 'Glycometer' and may save you a lot of time and money.

Oversnow Transport
If you are going to be using Oversnow Transport to get to your accommodation, be aware that Friday nights and Sunday afternoons are the busiest times for these services and regularly incur waiting in excess of one hour.

If you can avoid these peak times at Oversnow Transport by arriving Sunday morning or Friday throughout the afternoon before the service really gets busy you will enjoy a much smoother transfer experience. Travelling on other days may also be an option if they can match with your accommodation.
