Description

Altitude 1260 is a warm and friendly, family run winter and summer resort suited to families, groups and couples alike.   Situated on over 100 hectares of natural Australian bushland, Altitude 1260 offers breath taking panoramic views of  Lake Jindabyne through to the mountain peaks of Koscuiszko National Park.

All rooms have cosy Queen Size bed and either a double sofa, 2 singles or bunk with trundle (for a family).   Each room has private ensuite, including shower and toilet and are heated hydraulically.  Coffee & Tea making facilities, shared refrigerators in corridors.

Altitude 1260 is only a short drive to many locations including the Wild Brumby Schnapps Distillery, Crackenback Cottage and Restaurant and around 15 minutes to both Jindabyne and Thredbo.

Travelling By Car
Car must be left at the Bullock Flat parking area and the ski tube taken to Perisher followed by oversnow transport

* From Sydney: Take the Hume Highway south-west to Goulburn, then the Federal highway south to Canberra or Queanbeyan.

* From Canberra/Queanbeyan: Take the Monaro Highway south to Cooma, then the Snowy Mountains Highway south-west to Jindabyne.

* From Jindabyne: Take the Thredbo Road (Alpine Way) and follow the road

Travelling By Air
The nearest commercial airports are at Cooma and Canberra.

The Snow Express Shuttle bus meets all flights to and from Snowy Mountains Airport at Cooma. Bookings are essential
