Nestled in the Thredbo Valley, at the gateway to Kosciusko National Park. Alpine Habitats is the perfect place to stay while exploring the NSW Snowy Mountains.
Alpine Habitats provide 4½ star luxury accommodation whilst adhering to the requirements of Ecotourism Australia, creating a unique alpine experience.
Each habitat has complete cooking facilities and a dishwasher. The habitats operate on filtered rain water and are equipped with in-slab heating,an ecosmart fireplace,veranda and BBQ.
Other features include: DVD player, in-house movies, internet access and drying cupboard. 2 car spaces per habitat and boat parking is available.
The habitats sleep 4 people in 2 bedrooms and all linen is provided.

Snowy Mountains Airport (Cooma) is approximately 1 hour from Alpine Habitats and is serviced by Regional Express Airlines. Alternatively Qantas and Virgin Blue fly to Canberra Airport which is approximately 2½ hour drive to Alpine Habitats.
Shuttle buses or hire cars are available year round from Canberra and Cooma airports.
Transborder Express & Summit Coaches offer a year-round bus service from Canberra. Greyhound & Murrays Coaches operate in winter only.

Driving from Melbourne approximately 7 hours: Highways - Pass through Wodonga, Corryong, Khancoban and Thredbo *Chains required in winter in National Parks.
Travel north to Wodonga on Hume Highway
Take the exit to the Murray Valley Highway - Marked "Wodonga/Tallangatta",
Pass through Wodonga and follow the signs "To Tallangatta"
Pass through Corryong
Turn right onto Alpine Way -"Khancoban" turn off
Pass through Khancoban and follow the Alpine Way to Thredbo
Pass through Thredbo
Travel approximately 22 km to Wollondibby Road
Turn right onto Wollondibby Road
Alpine Habitats entrance is situated 130 metres to your left
* Turn right after the Schnapps Distillery

Driving from Sydney approximately 5 hours: Freeway
Travel south to Canberra on Hume Highway
South of Goulburn Veer left onto Federal Highway (Canberra turn off)
Follow the signs to Cooma (Monaro Highway), travelling the outskirts of Canberra

Driving from Canberra approximately 2 hours: Pass through Michelago, Bredbo, Cooma, Berridale and Jindabyne
Travel 168 Km south to Jindabyne on Monaro Highway
Pass through Jindabyne (straight through both roundabouts)
Turn left onto the Alpine Way - "Thredbo" turn off
Travel approximately 9km to Wollondibby Road on Alpine Way
Turn Left onto Wollondibby Road
Alpine Habitats entrance is situated 130 metres to your left
* If you see the Schnapps Distillery on your left then you have just missed the left turn off. If by chance you happen to find yourself at the National Parks entry gate - you have definitely gone past us!
